UNDERSTANDING AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION (AMD)
At OCULAR EXPRESS, our mission is to provide essential support for individuals aged 60 and above who are at risk of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)—a leading cause of vision loss that profoundly impacts daily life. We focus on raising awareness about AMD and promoting proactive eye health through our scientifically-formulated supplements.
Our flagship product, developed with clinically-proven ingredients such as Lutemax 2020, Bilberry, and Pine Bark, is designed to protect macular health, slow the progression of AMD, and support clear vision. By emphasizing prevention and early intervention, we are committed to improving the quality of life for those navigating the challenges of AMD.

OXIDANTS & MACUSURE
Oxidants are thought to be partly responsible for the ageing process. In the eye they may contribute to the development of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) by speeding up cell degeneration.
Antioxidants reduce this harmful effect. Vitamins A, C and E are antioxidants. Carotenoids are also effective against oxidants. Lutein and zeaxanthin are important carotenoids.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are yellow plant pigments which give certain foods their colour. Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in high concentrations in the macula. Another carotenoid, meso-zeaxanthin, is formed in the body from lutein.
Macusure is expertly formulated to support eye health, combining high-potency lutein with essential nutrients that target macular degeneration.

Eye Anatomy & AMD Progression
AMD affects the central part of the retina, known as the macula, responsible for clear, sharp vision. Learn how our product can support macular health.
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a progressive eye disease that affects the macula, the central part of the retina responsible for sharp, detailed vision. The disease typically begins as early-stage dry AMD, characterized by the accumulation of yellow deposits called drusen beneath the retina.
Over time, this can lead to thinning of the macular tissue and gradual vision loss. In some cases, AMD progresses to the more severe wet form, where abnormal blood vessels grow under the retina, causing leakage and scarring that rapidly diminishes central vision. Without intervention, AMD can significantly impair the ability to read, drive, and recognize faces, profoundly impacting quality of life.

Supporting Vision in Aging
Protecting your vision as you age is crucial. Our supplement is designed to help reduce the risk of AMD progression in individuals over 60. Take your first step in your journey to protect your vision with Macusure.
